RBC Blue Water Initiative
The RBC Blue Water Project is an innovative, wide-ranging, 10-year global commitment to help protect the world's most precious natural resource: fresh water. It includes a $50 million philanthropic commitment to supporting organizations that protect watersheds and ensure access to clean drinking water. Since 2007, RBC has pledged over $24 million to more than 285 not-for-profit organizations worldwide that protect watersheds or ensure access to clean drinking water. The Pacific Salmon Foundation is one of 53 organizations in British Columbia that has received grants through the program. The Foundation has used an $80,000 grant from RBC Blue Water to partner with a U.S. environmental NGO to pilot the creation of an independent eco-label in Canada called SalmonSafe. www.salmonsafe.orgLearn more about the RBC Blue Water Project at bluewater.rbc.com
