West Coast Resorts
West Coast Resorts began in 1995 with the opening of their first lodge in Milbanke Sound. Now with five resorts dotted along the west coast of BC and Haida Gwaii, WCR offers world class, once-in-a-lifetime fishing experiences to people from all over the globe.
Since its inception, WCR has also been a strong catalyst for conservation with many of it efforts. People who come to WCR lodges are charged an optional $25 conservation fee and WCR generously donates this to Pacific Salmon Foundation to help with local salmon recovery efforts. Since the partnership began in 1998, the Foundation has received more than $600,000, which has been put back into local restoration efforts.
In addition, every year for the past five years, WCR has donated half of the proceeds from their Salmon Masters Tournament to Pacific Salmon Foundation, and each year WCR generously participates in fundraising raffles to raise funds for the Foundation. In 2006, these in-kind donations totaled over $20,000 for our Gala Dinner and Auctions held throughout the year. The Foundation is proud and grateful for this highly successful, long-term partnership with West Coast Resorts.
