Description

Pacific Salmon Foundation's third annual Comox Valley Gala Dinner & Auction was held on September 22, 2007 at the Comox Community Centre and was a sold out success and united Comox, Courtenay and Cumberland in support of Pacific salmon. Volunteer chairman Dan Boudreau and PSF's volunteer Dinner and Auction Committee put together a fantastic event, raising funds for salmon enhancement, conservation and restoration initiatives in the local area.

The evening started off with a cocktail reception featuring a seafood appetizer bar and silent auction, followed by a Deluxe Surf & Turf Dinner Buffet put together by The Best Western Westerly Hotel's Executive Chef, Bruce Sheltgren. The donated seafood appetizer bar was contributed by F.A.S. Seafood Producers, Albion Seafoods, Blue Ginger Sushi and Fanny Bay Oysters. Complimentary drive home service was provided by Comox Valley Dodge Chrysler Jeep.

Dinner was followed by an exciting live auction conducted by Jason Fitzgerald of Campbell River Auctions and featured original artwork, Vancouver Canucks tickets, a custom fly rod and reel, a Vancouver getaway, beautiful hand-carved jewelry, and several angling adventures.

Pacific Salmon Foundation thanks all volunteers, sponsors and donors for contributing to this successful event, with all net proceeds to be directed to salmon enhancement, restoration and conservation activities in the local area. PSF would also like to give special thanks to Comox Recreation, The Comox Community Centre, and David Durrant for their generous sponsorship of this event.
