The Pacific Salmon Foundation Stewardship Community Bursaries support students in British Columbia and the Yukon dedicated to conserving and restoring Pacific salmon and their habitats.

Successful applicants are selected based on a 500-word essay outlining their field of study and financial need for further education. While volunteer experience with a stewardship group is not required, applicants with prior experience are preferred.

Eligible applicants must be full-time students in good standing, enrolled at least in their second year of an accredited program leading to a career supporting Pacific salmon. The application period is open from August 1 to October 30.

Applications are reviewed each fall, with scholarship awards typically announced in November. To apply, please have the following documents ready to submit: a 500-word summary essay, your academic transcripts, an Annual Budget spreadsheet or BCSAF info, and if applicable, a confirmation letter from the stewardship group you volunteer with.
