Application Form

Every year, PSF’s Stewardship Community Bursary program awards multiple bursaries, each worth $2,500, to support students in B.C. and the Yukon with a passion for salmon conservation and restoration. By alleviating financial barriers, we aim to foster the next generation of salmon stewards dedicated to advancing salmon recovery.

Successful applicants are chosen based on an essay detailing their chosen field of study and need for financial support to pursue further education. Volunteer experience with a stewardship group is not mandatory, but preference will be given to applicants with it included.

Applicants must be full time students in good standing in at least second year of an accredited program that leads to a career supporting Pacific Salmon. Please check the eligibility criteria on the program page before applying. The application window is open August 1 to October 30.

To apply, please have the following documents ready to submit: a 500-word summary essay, your academic transcripts, an Annual Budget spreadsheet or BCSAF info, and if applicable, a confirmation letter from the stewardship group you volunteer with. The application form cannot be saved or edited, so we encourage you to prepare your answers in a separate worksheet.

For any questions or concerns, please reach out to Rene Martins – rmartins@psf.ca.

The Stewardship Community Bursary application is open August 1 to October 30.

We recommend you download the application worksheet here and save your work before using the form below. While the application has a save feature as a courtesy, it shouldn’t be used to backup your application.
