Implementing the Business Plan to Support Community-Based Stewardship in BC

The Business Plan for Supporting Community-Based Stewardship in BC delivered in March 2009
recommended strategies for supporting capacity building within the stewardship sector in B.C.

These recommendations included:

1. Develop a self-assessment tool to help organizations assess their current capacity and needs.

2. Create an inventory of existing capacity building resources available for stewardship organizations.

3. Develop an online hub for capacity building resources promoting and enabling access to best
practices information and other valuable resources.

4. Participate and contribute to the newly formed Capacity Building Consortium – a network of capacity
building organizations
