Nicola Water Use Management Plan – Plan Synthesis

This project was the final step of Phase 2 (plan development) of a 4-phase planning process to develop a water use management plan for the Nicola watershed.

The objectives of the project were:

1. to establish the water balance (water budget) for the Nicola watershed and its 10 sub-basins;
2. to produce a draft water use management plan which would have the support of the Multi-Stakeholder Committee of Nicola WUMP (water use management plan);
3. to include in the draft plan recommendations that would address the social-economic and environmental objectives set out during Phase 1 of the planning process;
4. to further understanding of the water resource.
