Allison Colina Joins PSF Leadership Team
The Pacific Salmon Foundation is pleased to welcome Allison Colina to our leadership team as the Vice President of Development, Marketing and Communications. Allison previously worked as a member of senior leadership at one of B.C.’s largest charities – the BC Cancer Foundation.
At the BC Cancer Foundation, Allison led marketing and communications and supported organization strategy and annual revenue growth, hitting an organization high of $72.6 million raised in 2019. She also led the organization through a re-brand and advanced digital marketing in support of events and annual fundraising strategies. She worked with medical and scientific leadership and major donors managing media announcements for scientific and medical advancements. Although Allison has built a career in health, salmon are a meaningful topic as Allison grew up on Vancouver Island fishing with her father off the coast of Nitnat.
“PSF is at the intersection of many communities and activities focused on the urgent need for conservation and recovery of our Pacific salmon,” said Michael Meneer, CEO and president of PSF. “The challenges facing Pacific salmon are complex and we need to better utilize all of the communications channels at our disposal to engage the widest audiences possible in support of Pacific salmon. Allison Colina brings the ideal mix of expertise and experience with a highly visible B.C. healthcare foundation to help us broaden awareness of PSF and to encourage Pacific salmon stewardship more broadly in British Columbia.”
